Tom earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University. He did post-graduate work in Business at Northern Michigan University and in law from Marquette University Law School. He has received numerous awards and honors throughout his career.
Tom founded Payant Wealth Management Group with a vision of creating a truly world-class experience for clients.
From 1997 through 2005, while affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services he was a member of the distinguished “Chairman’s Council which was comprised of their top 35 advisors in the USA”. By inclusion in the Chairman’s Council, Raymond James recognized Tom for his “Dedication to Clients and Fulfillment of the Highest Standards of Performance and Professionalism”.
In 2006 Tom transitioned his practice to Sagepoint Financial, which is now Osaic Wealth, Inc. Osaic Wealth, Inc. and its affiliates comprise one of the nation's largest network of "Independent Financial Advisors" serving over 10,000 Advisors and overseeing $450 billion in client assets.
From 2007 through 2023 Tom has continued his success as a member of the Sagepoint/Osaic Chairman’s Council which includes the top 25 advisors.
He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 66 securities registrations. Tom is a native of Marquette, Michigan and has called Tampa Bay his home since 1976. He and Robyn have been married since 1986. Tom’s hobbies include travel, golf, tennis, classic movies and reading.
